I think someone has misinformed you how vampires are supposed to work ;). If you have a Welcome mat, remove it. According to folklore, vampires suffer from arithmomania...a need to compulsively count (the probable origin of Sesame Street's The Count). Pouring rice, seed or grains around your house would stop the vampire - hopefully until sunrise - and including tacks, pins or nails made the vampire start over. Perhaps the blood comes from the pinpricks...but what that is in code...little pointy things? Decimals?
