[OFF-TOPIC] Does anyone experience some bugs on SoloLearn using Gboard?

When I use Gboard on SoloLearn it randlmly freezes/becomes really slow. Is that the Gboard's "fault" or SL's "fault"? Does anyone experience the same?

YES.

YES. I'm so happy to know that this isn't a hardware problem! I have faulty touchscreen so I thought that was messing with the input. Yes, I use Gboard, and the bug triggers when I deal with Code Playground (I traced it all the way down to this). I tried to rollback to the previous version of Gboard, but the bug triggers as well. I tried to connect a desktop keyboard to my device, and it lags too. I thought this meant that the fault isn't on Gboard, but reading this thread tells me otherwise. Also, like Dev pointed out, the bug affects input on every app. I think once the bug is triggered, any input method would experience the same lag.

I don't think it is a problem with Code Playground, but rather how Gboard deals with input when it comes to specific text areas. I do not know what is the specific cause of this (seeing that rollback has no effect in removing the issue), but I do know that rebooting or restarting the keyboard "clears" the bug temporarily. It has been driving me mad these few days.

It's Gboard's problem. I have had such issue with the latest update to Gboard this past week. It happened on many websites (not only SoloLearn). Switched to SwiftKey, and now everything's fine! Perhaps "not a bug in SoloLearn".

since Sololearn isnt freezing when you use gboard but its the other waay round,
gboard is the culprit

It only works for a few minutes after clearing the cache and restarting 😜😜😜. Going to try SwiftKey.

I have been experimenting with Gboard lately, and am up with these observations:

- Rolling back to the previous (4.x, 5.x) versions of Gboard helps remove the issue! I'm using version 4.x and it works smoothly. This means that the bug came up with the version released in June of this year (and sadly it is present in all following versions).
- Atleast for me, now the bug is triggered ONLY in the SoloLearn app (while typing in the Code Playground and sometimes even in the Quiz Factory). Force stopping (restarting) the keyboard resolves it unless I again start to work with the Code Playground.

Nonetheless, if older versions of Gboard and other keyboards help resolve the issue then it's not the Code Playground's fault. So it is all clear now :) Gboard's buggy!

Konstantinos Unfortunately it only worked for me for a while, I guess it's better to switch to another keyboard until the bug gets fixed.

I had similar problems too. Now I’m trying the swiftkey ... so far doesn’t seem to bug. 😅
