No, at the moment it is normally the other way around. Coding (especially embedded programming) often makes us angry at the machines for not doing "just what we want them to do", and so we kill them ;). On a more serious note, this is starting to become a question about the speed of progress in AI. There are those who are worried (Steven Hawking, Elon Musk, etc) and those who are not (Ray Kurzweil, etc). I cannot tell you who are right (don't know enough about it), but we are probably still OK for the next 50 years or so.
