Visual Basic? If you mean "Visual Basic for "NET" , it is a part of MS Visual Studio (can be downloaded from Microsoft servers. Or there is a very good free development tool SharpDevelop, which supports Visual Basic for .NET too. But if you really mean Visual Basic (without .NET), it is a really "oldies" not support in modern development tools. Maybe you can ask in your school (or where you get the thesis), if they have this oldies instalation files. Or search in unoficial internet sources - MS Visual Studio, or right MS Visual Basic, version 6 or 5..
