[OFF-TOPIC] Problem-solving ants inspire next generation of algorithms

Question

This isn't a question, however, I thought some of you might find it interesting. It's about utilising nature to find optimal solutions to problems (evolution does a great job at finding optimal solutions)

The researchers created a maze, which mimicked the Tower of Hanoi:

"The ants were able to find the shortest route from one end of the maze to the other in under an hour"
