I think there are more opportunities for coders than for gamers. Only a few gamers are earning lots of money, it is similar to football (soccer) players... and I see coding like a long life career, but not sport or electronic gaming .

Actually, it is difficult to answer. These people are there to promote products, from hardware 'gamer' to games. So the income depends on its sponsors. Hardware companies do a lot of promotion with them and must earn income that justifies the promotion. In the case of games, they must promote the game in which they specialize and motivate people to make micropayments (you can not imagine the number of people I know who bought a 'skin' in a game just because they saw a professional player with it). That means that their income can come from two different sources, and that both parties guarantee in some way that their business is sustainable in terms of profit.

If you're a popular streamer with many subscribers on twitch, you can make a good living out of that. Youtube is quite another story. Even "medium" popular youtubers cant live from the low ad revenue.

I think than gamers are so important for coders, but coders too to gamers, im a boy learning to program and im too a gamer, with out community there isnt game
