Can CSS be used in web development only

CSS can be used in other fields than web development. A good example are the user interfaces in GNOME (GTK+), which can be customized with CSS without problems.

In the same way you can do the same with an XML-based interface.

well like mickel said css can used in other non-web fields(rare tho).But let's take it down to web,im wondering what I could with paint,if there is no board I could paint on?css beatifies html,css needs html,i don't think css only webpages are possible.onecway or the other the html structure must be created
