IMHO, native APIs and frameworks such as React, Vue and Angular are going to replace jQuery very soon even if companies like WordPress use it in their frontend yet. The good point is that jQuery has a gentle learning curve, it's quite easy to learn in a few weeks of reading/practice.

Yes and no, it may fall out of common use (though this is unlikely), but JQuery is built in Javascript. That means in order for Jquery to stop working the Javascript language would havr yo losr support. As Javascript is the primary client side (front end) programing language, Javascript is unlikely to lose support anytime soon. So even if JQuery falls out of common use, the library will still work. Having said that, I would recommend having a deep knowledge of Javascript before learning JQuery that will help you understand how JQuery works and not to use it blindly.

I donā€™t think so. There are many JavaScript APIs, but jQuery is commonly used because it makes so many things easier. While it doesnā€™t add a huge change, it makes everything easier. Itā€™s used by both beginners and in the industry. Plus, there are many APIs and applications that use jQuery.
