I wake up in the morning, look at my clock, groan and say "**** I don't feel like getting up right now....... 10 more mins." 20 mins later I get up and jump in the shower. I like to take a nice hot shower and then before I get out I make the water cold to put my body into a state of shock. Afterwards I sit in my car and enjoy Atlanta traffic for an hour or so because it's so much fun and how I love starting my day. Once I get to the office, I do all of my daily routines, but since I'm a programmer, they're all automated. Then I say hello to you guys for 7 hours.
As for how I think? I'd say a fine mix of a child and an adult. Like an adult, I'm serious enough and focused enough to get real stuff accomplished. Like a child, I'm creative and playful enough to give life to my boring stuff, all while having fun in the process. I think its a good mix because it puts some waves in that boring linear style of solving problems. Ripples are good to help you think outside the box. Ultimately, a professional programmer needs to think in a problem-solution type of fashion, and take into consideration the client/user. What do they expect? What do they want? Make sure you gather all specifications because you're making something for them, not for yourself. Also, it's easy to think about how things can go right and work perfectly, but you need to place more consideration and thought into how things can/will go wrong so you can prevent them prior as best as possible.
