Starting Out

HTML starts out with an opening tag of !DOCTYPE HTML with HTML 5. After that, you put the opening tag called html.Every code in HTML also has a head, and body tag that you put between the opening and closing html tags. Every closing tag has a slash, then the same name as before. For ex. head and /head. Head tag is where you put the code that is the main part. Your text, pictures, progress bars, etc. would go in the body tag.

Text is how you write out things in HTML. For headings, there are six. h1 is the biggest tag, and h6 is the smallest heading tag. When you do paragraphs, you will use the p tag.
