Apple OS refers to IOS (mobile devices) and Mac OS (Computers) operating systems provided by Apple Inc.

IOS was released in 2007, whilst Mac OS was released in 2001.

Simple but powerful UI - Mac OS offers a more straightforward approach to computing, its UI is often considered superior to Windows, the user workflow is similar to IOS and is much easier to use than the workflow on Windows OS.	App ecosystem is still lacklustre - Windows has more software or applications. Developers, especially small and independent sofware companies, often consider building software for Windows first because of greater reach. Windows has a 90% market share in computers.
Fewer viruses and other security issues - Mac OS is considerably safer than Windows when it comes to security. It requires less maintenence than Windows and some users get by without installing any anti virus applications.	Lack of game titles and advanced gaming experience - There are more games available for Windows than in macOS. This is another noteworthy disadvantage of macOS. Windows also has more hardware support from manufacturers, this makes it a better operating system for gaming and for producing games. Also upgrading hardware is next to impossible on Mac computers.
Seamless integration between OS and hardware - Apple is both a softwre developer and a device manufacturer. This means they have optimised the MacOS to work seamlessly with all of the hardware components of a Mac device. It also ensures that all hardware components work hand in hand.	Mac computers are considerably more expensive - 13 inch MacBook Pro with retina: $1,299. 13 inch Windows laptop: $600. There is a huge difference in prices. Also the only way to get macOS software the legitmate way is to buy a Mac Computer.
Integration with other Apple products - One of the strengths of Apple is that most of the products under the brand are completely integrated. The iPhone or iPad works best with a Mac computer. This advantage of macOS is exclusive for Apple users - or those individuals with several Apple devices.	Inflexible when it comes to hardware upgrades - A standard Mac computer cannot be upgraded easily because most of its hardware components are integrated both at a design and engineering levels. This is a macOS disadvantage that is unacceptable for hobbyists. On the other hand, a Windows computer lets the user upgrade whenever they like. A user can build and design their computer based on their preference or usage requirement just by purchasing and installing the necessary hardware components.

In conclusion:

Apple OS (in particular Mac OS) is a good operating system, and at times the quality is better than Windows. However, Windows is cheaper, more usable, replaceable in terms of hardware and other such things. Mac OS is only really good if you re making IOS apps, love a good UI and if you work in graphics / the media industry.
