Some developers think their sole purpose is to write code for computers. But a great coder writes code that is human readable as well.

The code gives no clue as to the meaning of the values. We know it has something to do with colors. But what do the values mean? If I wanted to use these values I would first of all need to know what each hex code means and its position in the array.

A good rule of thumb when coding is that it must make sense to other developers reading your code.

You are not just writing code for computers. The code must be human readable.

This is where an object would be a much better choice.

Why not just say red?

Now if you need to get the color red all you need to say is colors.red or colors['red']. Now the code is intuative and there is no ambiguity.
