InetAddress

The java.net.InetAddress class represents an IP address. It provides methods to get the IP of any host name like www.google.com, www.sololearn.com etc,.

These are some commonly used methods provided by the java.net.InetAddress class.

Method	Description
getByName(String hostname)	IP address of the host named 'hostname'
getLocalHost()	Address of the local host
getHostName()	Name of the host
getHostAddress()	IP Address of the host in textual form

This code prints the IP address of the user (Try It Yourself!).


	            InetAddress ip = InetAddress.getLocalHost();

	            System.out.println(ip.getHostAddress());

The toString() method can be used to convert an IP Address to a string.
