1807: Birth of Giuseppe Garibaldi.
1834: Garibaldi took part in the unsuccessful revolt attempt in Geneve, but survived and escaped to South America
1849: Garibaldi returned to Italy and led the defense of Rome against the French.
1859: Garibaldi led the volunteer troops in the war against Austria trying to occupy Tiroli.
1861: Garibaldi stepped aside leaving his conquests to Viktor Emanuel II.
