It allows a developer to upload a project, and other developers can download them and improve on them. they can then upload the changes to the project on github. It allows software to be constantly be updated by millions of people.

Well GitHub is mainly for open-source projects, so it's meant to be taken and changed by people. However, you can allow only certain people to work on the project and I'm not certain, but I believe you can also make the projects uploaded private so that only you and people you approve can find and use it. If someone were to steal your idea, you're project will still have your name on it. it's also illegal for them to steal your intellectual property unless you specifically state they may use it how they wish.

But I dont get it, what if some one stole the Software idea from you ?? Or steal the idea and He Made the Software ? i beleive There is a good people aber There is Bad people too!
