What are the basic requirements (software, hardware and others) to develop an android app?

Question

I need to write a description of the software, hardware and other requirements for my android app I'm going to develop as a graduation project (IT major). I haven't yet started any actual work on the app, just installed Android Studio and that's it.
I took like two classes in Java last year and I'll say I'm OK in it. But other than Java, I've no idea as to the kind of the preparations needed for the development process. Any experienced Android developers that can help me out here?
