It doesn't really matter because basic concepts of all programming languages are pretty much the same. Some say that C++ is "not beginner friendly" but I could say that's nonsense. Well, when you learn one programming language, other languages will become much easier to learn. Try C++, C#, Java or Python. Read what each language is good and bad for. I started with C++ but nowadays C# is getting very popular and widely used as well in many applications and etc. so It could be a nice choice. And don't get fascinated by those videos "New-generation programming languages you should learn". This is bullshit. Why would you want to learn a programming language which will die after 3 weeks? By the way, CSS and HTML are not programming languages.

think about what you want to do with the programming language first, do you want to make a webpage, do you want to make an application, on what os do you want to make an application, there are a lot of things to consider. JavaScript + PHP+ MySQL+ css + html form the web design suite. you learn all of those, you can program any website you want c++ is a great language, my favorite, it's really powerful, and I think, a great language to start, it might seem a bit intimidating, but once you learn to really program in it, you will appreciate how good c++ is, and how other languages can't offer you as much as c++ can. all the computer games are coded in c++. Java, swift, python are all good languages too, Java is accepted better than c++ in the it industry. swift is used extensively for Mac OS, python has a great community, it's like c++'s little brother almost. c# I know least about. as far as I know, none of the .net languages have made it really far in terms of popularity and compatibility. c# is hence not as widely as used as most of the above languages. I don't think it's a big plus point in hiring as well, unless you are specifically applying for a job in .net related domain.
