At this moment in time, I use Windows 10 on my main computer for most things, including most of my programming, gaming, etc... However, I use Linux as well, dual-booted and I also have a remote Centos 7 server that I use for various things. I do some development work directly from linux, but for the most part, I use my IDEs in Windows for it.
Igor said it best, fuck the debate when you can use both. :)

@Uttam Because Windows comes with PCs when you buy them rather than build them. I imagine 90% of people buy them instead of build them. As well, what Microsoft did very well back in the day was create an OS and licensed it out to everyone, so they created a means of keeping themselves relevant for a long time and in mass. A result of that was also the mass support of Windows over other systems, since Windows was the most relevant due to sheer number of users. Windows is also often something that many people learned when learning computers, so it becomes their default system. Not all, but a majority, of Linux users are people with more advanced knowledge of IT and are using it for all of the wonderful things we can use Linux for.
Now, is this to say one is better over the other? No more than one programming language is better over the other; simply depends what you're trying to do, how well you're trying to do it, and how open you are to use various tools to accomplish various tasks. If linux is better suited, then use it and take the time to learn it. If Windows is better for your task, don't use something else just because you're wanting to fanboy over what you prefer under other circumstances. I hate macOS, but when/if it's the best tool for something, I'll utilize it instead of engaging into my pride.

1.Linux
in terms of resource efficiency, security, stability, cost effective and license issues, you have to choose Linux OS ( Ubuntu, Fedora, Red Hat, Kali, Susie )
2.Windows
in terms of your business environment, sufficient budget, and expect profits and prosperity, you got no choice but to use windows. coz when i was in college, our professors encourage us to use Linux. but when it came to reality we have to survive in windows environment.
If you dont have a plan to join IT companies in the future, please stay with the Linux..but if you have a plan..
👌👌trust me👉 it's windows..
it is still the richest and the largest business empire on earth

Linux offers the ideal place to put your skills to the test. You can access the source code to almost any part of your operating system, from the graphical interface down to the kernel.
Linux was not user-friendly in the past, currently we have many graphical interfaces pre-installed: Gnome, Kde ....Furthermore ,linux has a giant community around the world that has the culture to share knowledge and let it always open. That is great for us developers I think.

Depends on your purpose, if its gaming then go for windows coz linux is really not for gaming although you can run games for windows through a third party app(wine). But if you're interested on pentesting and other cool stuffs like hacking tools then you go for linux and then yes linux is more secure compared to windows and its open source and nope no need antivirus lol.
