Will desktop apps become less relavant?

It seems now days everyone has a phone, or tablet. You can almost do everything on a phone that you can do on a desktop. Im wondering if i should focus on mobile programming as mobile is the future. Of course big companies still use the desktop but the average internet user spends most of their online time on a mobile device. Mobile is where the gold is i believe. What do you guys think? Am i making misjudgements .

It was overridden with touchscreen mobile So this mobile someday It will be overridden by some device that make us mind-blown

i believe we will always have a need for a desktop... however it will be more advanced.... smart internet TVs and gaming consoles for example. mobile is the way to go but depending on what language you study and what you want that code to do.... the world has potential in almost every area.... almost everything nowadays needs some sort of code.

im not a developer yet . but I think Android apps have most potential . I dont think about desktop but since theres some well known application. they Will use that instead an application from unnamed programmer. example ms.Excel, word etc. or libreoffice etc. the only potential about desktop app is maybe games.
