I have a question: What language of code should I start with?

If I want to start coding which should I start with? I am kind of lost. I started with HTML, but I am not sure if that was the right choice. I have always wanted to learn to code, I am not sure where to start. My goal is to be able to make apps that might have the potential to do great things & make games that are unique and fun for people to play! I am also looking for a language of code that is easy but good to start with as a beginner that also has great potential in creating apps. Can I get some ideas?
