🍻 Is it right for a programmer to get drunk? 🍻

My friend said that getting drunk gives you a better sight 👀 and a lucid mind after! ...is it right?

No. If you drink a little it might make you feel "relaxed" and "confident" that you can solve a (programming) problem but the truth is you already know how to solve it sober. If you get drunk I'm afraid it will make you feel sick or sleepy afterwards and slow you down. If you want to focus more, I'd recommend caffeine instead (specially if you're underage) 😊☕

Getting drunk while coding is a bad idea really. Imagine your client asks you to code in java and you get drunk and start coding in html 😂

I don't advice to drink at all, but it's personal decision for everyone. Anyway, do not forget that "The dose makes the poison". (Usually this phrase used to remind that something considered toxic can not harm if the dose is small/tiny, but this time I want everyone to think (otherwise) about drinks or drugs considered "o'key" and about how they affect you in the long time and even to think if you are carefull enough with small doses, and do you have deep knowledge of effects of those small doses at all)

I don't see how a depressant can help you program. Need a stimulate, like caffeine or Adderall. (No garuntees if adderall actually helps or not)

Whilst programming? Can't really see any harmony between the two activities, if I'm honest. Do one or the other.

Actually it depends on types of drugs and the quantity that u consume.... getting drunk or too much high is useless and give u shit...but a little rise on ur dopamine people sometimes are most creative and better performer.... but drugs are bad for health and mind in the long run.... this is my personal opinion n i'm not encouraging nyone towards using drugs.... :)

Alcohol does bad housework with any activity... or you are so addicted that you could make a few illusion, but mostly to yourself than to others ^^ And when you will go down, you will be disapointed by your production ;P Even if some artists could have good artistic production under effects of alcohol or any drugs, that's not helpful for most of them, and exception are some genius, with benefits of the fact that's an activity where inspiration is leading... but almost, you doesn't know how much better (technically) they could have been if they do not have been drunk and/or stoned ^^
