If you want to hack, then no, HTML isn't really going to help in this instance. It's a mark-up language for creating web pages, not applications or any of the sort.

Yeah it plays a crucial role in the field hacking because the URL the URL encoded in HTML codes from there you can find if the website is sending request in the basis of the post or get method as soon as you go find it it uses get method you can just change is the value and by luck if the website is not matching the data with database you can change values and make the website respond in your way this is called hacking cookie poisoning or html html hijacking
