Are Challenges beneficial to learning?

I am relatively new to sololearn, and discovered the challenges yesterday. I feel my understanding of code is just above basic, but I don't do well on challenges, mostly because of the time. it's frustrating to lose a challenge, especially looking back and knowing the answer. is there really a good reason to do them? or should I focus on expanding my current knowledge into a more intermediate level? thanks in advance!

As far as I'm concerned, these challenges would not take you to an intermediate level in programming but will surely help you to understand the basics well.

Challenges are more of a way to practice what you know rather than learning. It would definitely help you become better but there are other ways to practice.

Yes but most of the time indirectly. Helps you remember what you learn from this app and also compels you to learn on your own about things not mentioned in that detail in lessons
