What is basically the work that a computer science or an IT engineer has to do in the industry?

Which language is used the most? Do they have to code continously whole day with rigour? If Yes, isn't it monotonous and tiresome. Also do they need to be expert in that particular language.

I think you will have to be specific with the field in computer science you are interested in. Computer science is more vast than you can ever imagine. Computer science includes fields like web development, app development, embedded systems, data base design and management , data analytics, cloud computing, graphics, mobile computing, microprocessor architecture, artificial intelligence, multimedia computing, machine learning and much more. While some of these fields would require a lot of coding ,there are also few fields mentioned above which require more planning than coding. Also while some coders write huge codes , you may also find some other coders who can do the same piece of work in lesser lines of code. You can't expect yourself to do some physical work in IT industry can you? Also I think python , java, R are some of the languages which are more frequently used in relevant fields.
