Why aren't HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT and JQuery merged together to make one language for the web?!

These 4 languages live side by side like siblings. I hope they merge all of them in HTML6! Wouldn't that be a good idea?!

Well, HTML is a markup language and doesn't to anything else besides marking up to tell the browser what certain elements are. Css is used for styling, but you can already use JavaScript/Jquery to add css to a webpage. As for the difference between JavaScript and Jquery, they're practically the same language, except for certain syntax that makes Jquery a bit faster and easier to write. So in a way, we already have access to make it happen. I guess the reasoning behind not merging these is because it's a bit more structured and easier to keep track, though I agree with your idea, a new unified language that support all elements for HTML, css and Javascript would be pretty great in terms of less work. I suggest you can begin to develop this language! :D
