Why do questions appear double-posted?

When I look through the Q&A section, questions often seem double-posted, but then the exact same answers and likes are in both posts. Does this happen more often or only with me?

It could be an error.

The one who asked the question, reposts the entire thing to get it on top of the most recent search.
