you should complete the courses on html, JavaScript, php, css, sql first or you won't understand anything. Facebook and the like are very complex. the design is rather easy though and you'll find the source code via the context menu of your browser. but the logic behind all that like adding posts, user management, notifications etc is way too high for a beginner. you should start with something easier/smaller... but you'll need the basics first.
