Are my Codes that useless?

Are my codes so simple that anyone can make them? Are they damn too boring or useless? Why don't people like them? Even codes only using operators like + get >10 likes... Why not me? Please tell me frankly, if my codes are that bad... I'll stop making any... Please help, a fellow coder... This ignorance does not affect me, what does is the number of likes on simple codes, which anyone can truly make...

Your codes are really nice and well-explained with proper documentation. Definitely different from typical beginners' codes :) Most importantly, original work and reflects your effort. Also you've tried to make your codes interesting by fancy messages like "throw the chocolates in bin" and many more. Keep it up 😊 Getting upvotes depend on how many followers you have and how unique (must have "wow!!" factor) your codes are. For example, I'm a random SoloLearner and I'm not following you. How will I get to know that Kinshuk has posted an impressive code? We can sort the codes as popular / trending / most recent. So if I choose the last one, it's more than impossible that I'll get to see the interesting codes right then. Often I get irritated to see some copied stuffs in "most recent" area. Since it looks like you're expert in C++ and Python, I'll suggest you to look for cpp and py codes of other users and discuss about their codes in comment section, it'll make them interested to see your codes as well. Contribute in QA and help others by sharing your knowledge. Sweet Emotion is right, web related codes get more upvotes 😞 Petja is also right, upvotes or badges shouldn't matter. But it somehow encourages, and encouragement always makes happy 😊

i think it's kinda random cause people post codes with less than 5 or 10 lines and still get loads of likes.😒

Kinshuk, getting upvotes should not be your main motivation. You're wasting your talent worrying about it. Keep creating more cool and original stuff. Be humble, you don't need tons of upvotes to know you're good, you know it already! Also, I normally only check out other people's web codes because I cannot run codes in other languages on my phone.

Stick around for a while, participate in the community, get your face out there, promote yourself. My first code on here never got any likes for the first week it got posted. Now, it has over 50 likes. Still, I do not second the dependency on likes and upvotes to affirm oneself. If you have likes, you are who you are. If you have none, you are still who you are. Letting likes define your value, instead of having learn grasp of how awesome you actually are, is such a waste of talent. Ryo (Supercell) who was once detested and looked down upon by the industry itself, is now one of the greatest music composer in Japan.

@Ace Yes I agree it is a Learning Platform..., and my motto now is just to improve, not get likes... I felt that likes would help me know if I am on the right path, but I was wrong... Thank You.

You shouldn't worry about it...I've seen a lot of "obscure" codes that were really good/innovative but didn't get proper recognition. Posting codes when you don't have a lot of followers is not ideal because often it goes unnoticed - since there's a bunch of people who send theirs in a short amount of time.

I've finally realized, That I should work as hard as I can, for selflessly delivering good programs... That suggestions for improvization will only help me become a good programmer, not likes... Thank You, everyone Thank You, @Pejta Boigk

@Joseph Sai there are many factors to what causes a code to go trending in my opinion, you can see them in the following post: https://www.sololearn.com/discuss/204131/?ref=app

@Pejta Boigk The truth is: If you have likes, you have respect & recognition... Else, who are you again?

@Pejta Boigk I'm also a beginner, but truly feel that posting a code for addition and array printing is not useful...

Thus, it is proved that nothing is going to change... I got more likes on my phone no generator - only uses rand() - than my 8 queens solver - I can bet that it is not so easy to make , and even if it is , i did that myself , being a beginner...
