Cant change my icon

Question

I cant change my icon everytime i go to my profile settings and press 'New Avatar" I select an image and it changes. Then I press save but my new icon isn't there.

My new icon is "</>". The file extension is '.png'. I don't know why I can't change my icon. Plz help me

Try restarting your device. If the problem persists, contact [e-mail].

i think it is the server because when i remove my avatar it gets removed. when i add in the new icon it gets replaced with the old one
