the most effective way to master html is to read w3c specifications... but that's also one of the hardest way ^^

you could find some easy tutorial wich teach you basics of html formatting... but to be able to build advanced web design you must rely on less easy ways...

html5 offers a lot of features, but at cost of hard learning curve: I don't understand the lazy need to learn anything in an easiest way ^^

if you want easy way, you must limit you to very basic html text formatting.

all others purposes will require less or more hardest ways, as for learning anything ;P

if you don't want to (you are allowed), then you must rely on (limited) tools to build website in a wisiwyg way, but not on learning coding...

anyway, html is relatively one of the easiest code language to learn... even if it involves learning too css ;P
