Earlier html elements were either inline or block but now they are divided in to seven categories. Should I learn them I mean are they relevant?

Um, inline - anchor, span block - paragraph, divs semantics - header, aside -> You can convert these to inline/block, these tell a bit about the content inside these tags. But isn't so much relied on by search engine. meta - information about the document You won't need any more than these, you will use css mostly for styling so you can modify how elements work (except for meta tags) anywhere.
