But they likely become less engaged over time due to the abysmal quality and volume of mediocre questions that get repeated over and over again these days.

If you happen to come across one of these rare species, be aware that they are very shy creatures and may scurry away in fear of getting bombarded with requests for being a dedicated mentor or asked to help on homework problems.

Above all, avoid attempting to DM them by simply saying, "Hi" or something else requiring a response before the question is submitted.

It's best to engage them in the public forums as they receive more DMs than they can manage to keep up with.

But what do I know? These are just rumors afterall. 😉

Evans Frimpong You don't need a professional software engineer to help you with your homework or projects. There are many here who can help.

That said, I'll leave you with this tip...

I typically respond to good questions that are clearly articulated and well organized and posted in dedicated Q&A posts that doesn't drag on with never-ending follow ups.

I generally avoid responding to vague questions that will require a lot of mind reading or inferring assumptions due to lack of context and relevant details.

I'm happy to help if I have the time. But the questions have to be clear and something I'm familiar with.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who operates this way. 😉👌
