Sololearn says that c++ is cross-platform, but I am confused what it' means as c# also looks same to me so why should I use c++

I learned both and both used well for games, apps, websites, and AR/VR, and many more which I would be like to know from your side. So, my question is how I can choose between both. Please give an official or experienced reply. Than you 😊
