Xavier Christian Yes. A user is deactivated only when they refuse to comply with community guidelines even after multiple warnings have been given. Please refer to this: https://www.sololearn.com/Moderator-Code-of-Ethics/

piyush Constructive criticism is fine. If it's a case of abusive language directed to a moderator, it's likely that the user was already warned for some offense and chose to break another rule as well. Our actions then would depend on the severity of that particular case. It's worth pointing out that deactivation is usually a last resort tool.

Beware of the propaganda of those who have broken the rules. I've definitely had users whom I've warned and they either see the message & ignore it or they reply to me as if I've never told them the rule they've broken or what to do to correct their behavior. What most don't realize is that we would much rather users respond to our warnings and we resolve the issue & dismiss the report because if we have to escalate, each step is exponentially more e-paperwork for us. Since we're volunteers, the less time we have to spend on those things, the better. We're definitely not trying to create job security. We also tell many people that if they believe their rights have been trounced on by a mod, that they should file a formal complaint with the SoloLearn administrators at info@sololearn.com. Many don't do so & would prefer instead to find an echo chamber among other SoloLearn users. Some do file formal complaints and the administrators have historically been far more forgiving than veteran mods would prefer.

Xavier Christian Here's your answer 1. If it's deactivated by the moderators then surely first of all they will give you warnings and if yet they don't follow them. Then the account is deactivated. So they know before they get ban. 2. If it's blocked by sololearn itself, then they don't send you mail. Yeah, If you will ask then sololearn will tell you the reason behind the ban. The I'd 's which are deactivated by moderators are very little because they ban a person when the things are out of frustration. If you will ask any moderator the reason or to sololearn they will tell you. I hope this helps 🤟✌️

Xavier Christian as many of the mod team has pointed out... you are warned usually several times prior to and given the opportunity to either stop the behavior and or to explain the behavior. Based on the types of offenses they can be immediate if the go against TOU or severity of violation of the Content Creation Guidelines or by violations of the Q&A forum guidelines, or based on an accumulated number of similar offenses, We try to weigh everything the same as we personally don't know each of you individually, though we may have had personal conversations through DMs, or maybe by helping you in a code directly or through q&a. Banning anyone is a last resort not our first choice.

Yes , As I have seen some cases ..... ( According to my knowledge ) They are firstly warned , and given some time to withdraw that ..... And If they refused to do so , then they are banned !! Edit : All the bans are not permanently ... in some cases , they are only banned for a limited period of time ! Hope this answer helps 👍😊 Edit 2 : Xavier Christian - The users are always warned firstly in DM by moderators before they are banned ! And if after ban , you can ask from mods or Sololearn , anytime .... they will tell you !

Xavier Christian I am confused. Your reply of "Gordon,i have no examples just asking" is contradictory to your previous reply to Kartik: "Kartik Taneja does it always happen or some RARE cases because i was going through that post it looked nothing like what you said, you just report and then ........." Could you please explain which one is true. Do you see report which makes you think that account deactivation occurs without warning.
