IMO NetBeans is easier to work with and doesn't look as complicated as Eclipse. Good tips and shortcuts for coding, easy access to JavaDocs, and Visual Studio-style IntelliSence.

Does'nt matter. I started with NetBeans But now I am using Eclipse. Also the inbuilt sololearn code playground is good for beginners

I prefer IntelliJ Idea over both options.
