I too have been trying to learn HTML as good as possible for the last month, I have been trying to learn every single detail about it, and I don't regret it, but it may is indeed better to learn as much as you need and move to CSS and JavaScript, because there is a lot more into web development than just HTML, its okay if you don't know an element or an attribute, as long as you know most of them, you can always come back and learn it better when its needed. I don't mean you should only learn the basics, do search, and learn as much as possible, but don't try to reach perfection, because it will take time, and some of the HTML elements also need you to know some basic CSS or JavaScript to understand and be able to use.

Also, if you want you can keep notes of what you learn like me, it helps a lot, for many reasons. While taking notes I had to force myself to think about each attribute and element deeper, to fully understand it and be able to explain it, only when you are able to explain it you have learned it, in order to make these explanations better I had to make examples and play around with each element and attribute, taking my way of lesrning. I also feel safer knowing I have all the information I hsve learned so far organized in a website which I can open at any time to read whatever I need. Once you have learnt the basics, I suggest you move on. The rest will be learnt by practicing daily. I have been coding HTML for years and I still discover new HTML tricks every now and then.

Start studying Html. It is very easy to learn, of course you will be more familiar with Html by trying to use it in some code, even the most simple, like a blog where you can show your portfolio.
