Do programmers who write bad code know that they are writing bad code?

Hopefully all coders know that they can always improve on their code. I have seen many coders on Sololearn who I would consider "pro" say they learned something new from someone else's answer.

What exactly are you trying to solve? Are you trying to fix the problem or just trying to start a discussion? Whether programmers are aware that they write bad code or not how does that change anything
