Yes you can use Java to develop video games. In fact Java is the language you use to build games for Android phones and tablets.

Maybe, im a game designer and for android is the best way. But if you use "engines" like Unity o Unreal, the best way is c#.

Minecraft is a Java game. I made snake in Java. I'm working on another game.. it's on hold because I decided I need to make a fractal tree after work today, but yea games in Java is very doable

java will do the job but if you seej for professional game use agane engine as unity which is developed with javascript or c#
