However, for learning HTML we recommend a simple text editor like Notepad (PC) or TextEdit (Mac).

you dont have to use editor you can just write codes in txt but if you want editor you can use

notepad++
vi
atom

Sublime text is great VScode also pretty good. Atom haven't tried yet but there are many critics saying it's slower than the other two.
