How do I start again?

a few years ago, I was an active user here on sl, constantly letting myself learn a lot of things and i would even constantly get excited turning on my computer, opening the text editor, compiling it, and eventually seeing every result i saw. that was me--then. if you don't believe that I was this passionate, I have a top comment in a python course. fast forward to a year later, and I just... stopped doing so from nowhere. it also was the same time when school started to get the hell out of me: vampire homeworks, black-hole PETAs, and a lotof things to do. I would eventually feel tired about what happened every year, not knowing that we have some more things to do the next day. since I had no more time to spare for coding as a hobby, I decided to give photography a shot. but it is (kind of) killing my childhood dreams, otherwise, I still loved doing it. but I want to experience that life where I create things with code. I want to enlighten the kid in me. so, to ask the question again: how do I start again?

You can ask yourself, what is your goal with coding. In my case, I enjoy improving myself and solving puzzles and learning new things. One of the reasons I started learning Python, is that it has lots of tools for data analysis and AI. Data is closely related to my field of work, and I have very soon found several cases where I was able to apply my Python knowledge, even though I am not a professional programmer. If you have a specific goal try to allocate some time, even if you have a busy schedule, and improve yourself. A real pet project can be truly helpful, something that gives you a challenge and at the same time you can use it in real life for your own benefit. Doesn't matter if it is tiny or seems meaningless... As long as you learn by doing it, it is worth the effort.
