If you are a beginner then you should have to start with Notepad++
Because it has the following advantages:
1. Lite weight
2. Easy to understand
3. Syntax highlighting
4. Code folding
5. There is not intelligent code completion and syntax checking, but there has limited autocompletion. This is good for a beginner because they can do the best practice their self.
