Where should I start?

I’m new to programming. By New I mean zero understanding at all. I want to start programming to further myself all round not to gain a specific goal. What programming language do you guys recommend to a total newbie? Thanks for your replies 😁

This is a commonly asked question, a quick search of the q&a would find you many of similar posts. Just so you know a mod will probably flag your thread for deletion due to this as the rules of the q&a specify to search for similar questions before you post. Now that you know that, ill give you my recommendation. Python, this isnt even my main language but i can tell you that python has a more understandable, easy syntax with very easy to read code. This will teach you the fundamentals of programming in a digestible way. However after you start understanding programming concepts I recommend picking up c++ or java as these languages have a more difficult syntax but also have some extra capabilities. If you are interested in web design, learn html, css, and javascript

Hello and Welcome Ned! Well, about which language, I would suggest to check out the FAQ page as SoloLearn had provided a general guide just for that: https://www.sololearn.com/faq BTW, can you please edit your Relevant Tags, I know it may be confusing, but tags are important aspect of the search feature. Maybe 'SoloLearn getting-started' instead? Anyways, the following thread may give you an idea about it: https://www.sololearn.com/Discuss/333866/?ref=app
