How proficient must you be in coding to earn well?

I want to make a living on coding... As a kid, I do not know how good must you be at coding to make a living(make a good flask app?). Could someone, preferably a professional coder, tell me the benchmark I must meet?(I would like to have a job in python...)

In all seriousness, if you ever want to pursue a coding career you need to improvise on your algorithmic thinking as syntax is pretty basic. You also need to be in touch with the latest technologies that will certainly make your life easy, say Tensorflow if you want to work with Python and Machine Learning.
