I created a small site which works perfectly on my pc but got messed up on my phone. What might have caused this?

I already included the <meta name =viewport device - width............. Mmmm

When you say it got messed up, in what ways is it messed up? Also, are you using the same browser between both devices? An annoying aspect of browsers and websites is that there isn't a standard that's forced upon the various browsers, so they're able to interpret things in their own ways as they see fit. That's fine, but it can be annoying from a developer standpoint since you have to accommodate those differences to get similar results between the various browsers.
