Which OS is best for a Computer Science Engineering student, Linux or Windows ?

Suggest laptops that will be great for programming. Does google chrome, gmail, YouTube etc run on linux laptops ?

Linux,learn bash(5 hours simple commands) make mistakes and learn from them untill you are proeficient and never look back on windows again,my 2 cents

Linux is the best OS for programming and application building stuff, windows is more for video editing and graphic designing. Even dual boot is the best option for any new laptop
