When should i start charging subscriptions on my app

Hie guys, i developed a web platform where people advertise their services here in Zimbabwe, The platform does have a number of users and thousands of visits every month. I really want to make money from this platform so help me guys. From your experience when do you start charging users so that you make money

I am not an expert on this, so consider this an outsider's perspective. I would be very-very careful about such changes in your business model. The most important thing is that your users must understand and appreciate the VALUE that your app gives them, in return for their money. I would probably try to introduce some sort of freemium model, like an opportunity for a highlighted / advertised spot in your listing for those who offer their services. and keep it free for the end users, otherwise they won't flock to you. It may also be a good idea to do some sort of market research, like if you know any of your users personally or have a way of contacting them, you might do a survey how they would feel about paying for this app. It would be pretty clear from that how willing they are to stay if you change your business model. some good read too: http://blog.apps-builder.com/paid-vs-free-apps/
