Php or WordPress for beginners?

As i recently jump into the coding world and not having ideas on which one should i focus the most for web application

I think it all depends on what you want to focus on at this particular moment. I find wordpress not being the best for me when it comes to web apps so i enjoy hardcoding coz its soo flexible and i have total control of my code.

I love doing it from ground up: hardcore coding. WordPress doesn't give you that opportunity and you lack the knowledge of the inner workings of the web application.
