Can PHP be learnt with or without knowledge of html ??

Question

This is an argument going on now. some said php can be learnt without knowledge of html while some said yes you'll need to know html before php. So guys what are your opinion?

Please full stack php developers can come in and answer.

1. It's not so hard to learn HTML.
2. You can learn PHP without knowledge of HTML. For example, PHP console applications do not require HTML at all.
