Linux ifconfig or ip?

Hi together, what do you use and why? im a old man and use the older one ifconfig. i hope that i become more information to switch to the ip command with this question. i cant find a benefit.

Im used to ifconfig and havent heard about ip, i can say thay ifconfig is realy powerful and helps you configure your network settings as a charm!
