what language can I use to make a chatbot in my computer.....

when I was like 12 years old I used some weird website to make a custom chatbot. it was less like a language and more like a lot of setting "if user says X, print Y". it was my first time dreaming of code. maybe look up some sites for it. otherwise I'm not sure what language would be best, but I do have an idea of how I would go about it in python
